Wheel chair accessible homes and affordable housing search assistance
The lack of affordable, accessible housing is a critical issue for individuals with disabilities in Santa Clara County. SVILC provides information and referral on available and accessible housing options. In addition, accessibility assessments, assisted placement into affordable housing, and mediation are available.

SVILC works with non-profit housing and government agencies as an advocate for increased housing availability. The organization also offers individual and group instruction on tenant/landlord rights and responsibilities. SVILC hosts housing workshops featuring the A Place to Call Home video and training program. This training program is available in both English and Spanish.

Silicon Valley Independent Living Center, a private, non-profit agency serving people with disabilities in Santa Clara County, is offering private room rental "transitional housing" for low-income persons with disabilities.
