Computer Training SVILC has offered computer training since the late 1980's. Currently, computer classes focus on work-related understanding of computer operations and software applications. Consumers learn to use a computer independently and are trained in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet navigation with a focus on self-directed job searches. Students receive one-on-one training in a fully equipped, accessible computer lab. Classes are self-paced and a self-study lab is available for individuals who need extra practice.
SVILC is a Microsoft Accessibility Resource Center (MARC) that provides training on making computers easier for people with disabilities to use. The MARC program promotes accessibility features found in computer software and hardware. If you feel your use of computers has been impacted by your disability, SVILC can show you accessibility options and assistive technology products that can add to your computer skill and proficiency. For more information on the MARC program at SVILC, please call 408.894.9041 or email info@svilc.org .
